Spring 2026 (April – June) — Finished

Classroom of the Elite Season 4

• Studio: Lerche | Episodes: 16 | Aired: April 1 – July 2026

• Covers: Second Year arc
• Read first? Season 3 cut a lot. Season 4 is better paced, but the novels still have more depth — especially Ayanokoji’s internal calculations that the anime can only hint at.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4

• Read first? The anime has been a solid adaptation throughout. You don’t need the novels to enjoy it, but the political maneuvering in the later arcs hits harder in prose.

Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring

• Studio: WIT STUDIO | Episodes: 14 | Aired: March 29 – June 28, 2026
• Source: Light novel by Kana Akatsuki (Dengeki Bunko / Yen Press)
• Covers: Volume 1 (Dance of Spring)
• New adaptation. Same author as Violet Evergarden. The anime is a faithful adaptation — the novel gives you more of Hinagiku’s internal trauma and Sakura’s desperation, but the anime conveyed those through Kensuke Ushio’s soundtrack and WIT’s visuals. Season 2 announced.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3

• Covers: Turning Point 3+ (post-Teleport Labyrinth)
• Read first? Studio Bind has delivered a remarkably faithful adaptation across all seasons. The novels are where Rudeus’s internal growth registers fully. His narration carries self-awareness that the anime communicates through direction rather than dialogue.

Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2

• Studio: Aura Studio | Episodes: 12 | Started: July 4, 2026

• Read first? Season 1 rearranged arcs and softened the tone significantly. The novels are darker, with the racial conflict themes carrying more weight. Readers consistently recommend starting from volume 1 even if you watched Season 1.
